The students will compete at set locations in participating countries.  The locations will be listed on a Location Selection Task on the competition page where students will indicate the location they plan to go to be proctored for the Round 1 exams.  The Location Selection Task will be open on the competition page from 21 February through 21 April.
This year, we are offering 3 levels of competitions (CCNA, CCENT and IT Essentials) for Africa.

  • Students must be currently or recently enrolled in a Cisco Networking Academy CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Discovery, CCNA Exploration or IT Essentials course in a country in Africa
  • Students represent the Cisco Networking Academy and therefore the country where they are currently enrolled or most recently completed a CCNA or IT Essentials course
  • Students must live in a country in Africa
  • Students may not compete in both CCNA and CCENT competitions in a calendar year
  • Students may only compete in CCNA and CCENT two times and in IT Essentials one time, so we recommend students are strategic in selecting the best year to compete in each level of competition based on courses enrolled in or recently completed and all other eligibility rules
  • The competitions will be offered in English, French and Portuguese for all three levels. Students may only compete in one language.
  • Please help your students to be strategic selecting the competition level that they meet all eligibility requirements for and that this is the best year to take that specific level (CCNA, CCENT, or IT Essentials).

Registration will be open from Wednesday, 15 February 2017 through Friday, 21 April 2017.
